Well, here is another one for review. This is a photo I took last weekend when my family and I went out to the desert to shoot the night sky. My first time trying anything like this. After what I felt were a few successful Milky Way shots I had my 11 YO son pose with his fists to the sky for the duration of the 20 sec exposure. In post I lowered the blacks to create more solid silhouette and bumped up saturation on sky. There was a fair amount of light pollution in lower right that I reduced quite a bit by reducing yellow/orange saturation levels. I could have copied something over it but felt that would be "cheating". Shot was taken with Nikon D5200, 18mm f/3.5 ISO 3200 20 seconds.

Maybe try two different exposures one focused for the sky and the other focused for the child silhouette 
also what white balance setting was used? Its looking alittle green.
