I'm aching for a D7200, but there are more F Nikons that I want. I still want an FM2, even though mine is better, and I want an F4 and an F5. I would want an F3, but that hot shoe bothers me. Maybe I could get used to it. As for an F2, I don't like the unsightly dials on it. I'm sure there's a reason for them. Obviously, the F2 and F3 were developed in a time when Nikon was discovering what pro functions an SLR should be capable of, and how best to fit them in, or on, a camera body. Thankfully they came into their own with the F4, and the F5 is a beautiful beast. Unfortunately, they learned so much that they've gone too far in some respects.
I would buy a Df, if they could just pull off a digital FE2 or F3. I'm a purist at heart, but I also love gadgetry. When the gadgetry invades my skill space, or the potential of acquiring such, then I draw the line.
