Carry Speed straps rock!

So a few weeks ago I picked up a CarrySpeed strap with the baseplate. Man, how did I go this long without this strap? It's awesome! The only bad thing is that it sometimes makes squeaking noises emanating from the rotating metal joint that attaches the camera to the strap, but that's the only downside.

I was originally looking at the BR straps with the extra pocket flap thing, but something told me I'd never use it and that the extra bulk would eventually drive me insane, getting in my way at times. I'm glad I didn't buy that one now.

The CarrySpeed is extremely comfortable, able to seemingly handle any load with minimal discomfort. I've never had a strap so invisible before, it's truly liberating. Build quality is totally on point, all machined to exact specifications using quality materials. The strap has a quick adjust feature that was weird at first but as I have been using it, I've found it's really quite helpful and easier to use than I first thought.

I can't wait to use it at H2Oi (large VW car show in VA Beach) next weekend! I'll be sure to take tons of photos.
I can recommend them if you're in the market.

Like! I'll break some out and see if that helps. I really love having the camera at my side though, freeing up two hands. Makes a giant difference.

Instead of using grease, use Vaseline. It's the purest petroleum jelly on the planet. :) And it doesn't stain your clothes either.

I love mine best $$ I spent on camera gear so far. So comfortable, easy to use, I can hand it over to my much much taller spouse and it fits perfectly on both of us. I've had mine a few months and not a single complaint about it. I'm sure you'll love it while you're at the car show :)

Just got my hands on some of the LocTite. I didn't know they sold grease. I'm surprised since I use it the 'blue' or 'red' on most everything else. I had to look around awhile to actually find it. Way better now, thanks for the advice :)

I wish I got the foldable mounting plate. I didn't see that in the store, only to learn about it after purchase. Another issue I have is that the quick adjust strap simply doesn't stay in place and will loosen in about 5 seconds flat. I'm rather disapointed to be honest :/

The mounting plate is supposed to come free with the strap..
Give the strap some time.
It definitely takes some getting used to and once you get the hang of it, you'll love it

Can you return it and get the newer version

If youre having that problem with the quick adjust... I'd return it. I haven't had a problem with mine. Stays where I put it. At the same time, I'd ask for the upgraded foldable mount... its the best thing since sliced bread.

I can certainly try to return it...the local shop where I bought it typically has a 14 day period however and I don't know if they're going to accept it.

Carry Speed still hasn't gotten back to me on the issue through FacePlace nor through email. :/
