I've been thinking about this project for a few months now. Finally picked up a fabric background (could not find 'bricks') and a piece of black acrylic (freebie). Recent product shots taken by a member of the FroKnowsPhoto forum got me thinking to take pictures of all of my old cameras. (I still have every camera I've owned since grade school).

Spent about 2 hours on this last night, as I review the images, I'd re-position the subjects a little different next time, for now I'm happy with the lighting and colors, etc. I had fun with this project and learned a few things for next time. I even found some un-exposed rolls of 35mm film :)

Shot with a D7100 / 50mm 1.8G

Here are a few, others in my Flickr set.

My first camera - GAF 126 film.
Yes, I'd move the strap to the back next time :)

Camera #2 - Kodak Tele-EXTRA 1. Cover unfolds to be a handy-dandy handle. Took 110 film. I don't remember what the clear clip was for, maybe securing the flash strip that went on top?

I took this camera to Walt Disney World in the 7th grade.

In Post, I noticed the camera intersects the edge of the acrylic :(

Three 35mm film cartridges, 2 color and 1 B&W

My first SLR, Minolta XG-1 and my D40. Saved up my paper route money to buy the XG-1 new. My dad had the XG-7 at the time.

Old tech and new tech :)

Bah. One of those times you're excited to do something. You set it up, you take a few test shots, a hobbyist like me is taking in all of the factors (composition, lighting, etc etc). The more you look at it (in camera, post processing, uploading, sharing) the more you don't like them.

Lessons learned along the way :)

Snapped a quick shot of my truck this weekend, it's cropped to use as a signature pic on another forum I frequent.

Bought it in November. Looking forward to a full detail and paint correction when the weather breaks :)

Snapped a pic of the truck at sunrise this week. I worked with the clone/healing brush in LR5 for an hour, just can't remove the sun spot on the truck.

I'll take a few more shots tomorrow morning, truck is all cleaned up for the weekend :)
