Can I sell my Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 without a problem??

I bought my D7100 a few months ago and found out quickly that my Photoshop CS5.5 won't work with the RAW photos. I purchased the upgrade to CS6 for $200 via Adobe. Now, I'm wondering, can I sell my CS5.5 without incurring the wrath of the Adobe Gods. In order to do the upgrade, I did have to enter the keycode for the CS5.5 before CS6 would install. If anyone can tell me whether or not I can sell the older version, without repercussions, I would really appreciate it.

I don't think you can because if for no other reason it was an upgrade of the old and not a new complete purchase of the software. Additionally, there could be something in the future that without the original base of CS5 you may not have a full program to load CS6. The only one that could really answer this is Adobe. However, you could try to load the CS6 on a computer not hooked up to the internet and see if it works. I don't remember, but I think you might have a time window in which to register it but may be able to use it. If that is the case you would know if the upgrade is a full program. Throw that all out of the window if it was a cloud purchase.

In the days before the web was used to authenticate ownership of a single license as you installed the software, you might have been able to get away with it but today I would say no.

In short, no...

You could have legitimately transferred your license of CS 5.5 but you've now upgraded to 6.0 and there's no going back. At this point you'd have to transfer the license of the current version because you no longer "have" the previous version.
