My photos say c All rights reserved......so I guess my rights are protected. All is good with the Buffalo.
Can Flickr sell your pictures

It might not be a bad idea to have some of your photos licensed....read this from the OP's first posting article:
"Handpicked images won’t have the Creative Commons license that allows for commercial use, so owners of those images will receive 51% of the sales revenue with Yahoo! keeping the rest."
So, if Yahoo makes $49 a print, then you'd get 51% of the profits. Where else are you gonna make that in mass production?

At the bottom of my post is a screen shot of one of my own photo's in my Flickr photostream; notice the copyright notification and the "All rights reserved" annotation.
This is the default for photos uploaded to Flickr.
In order to license rights to another party I would have to specifically do so. How exactly you do that, meaning license a photo using a CC license, I don't actually know because I've never wanted to license any of my photo's. My point being, though, that your photo's are copyright and you reserve all right's to them BY DEFAULT when uploading to Flickr. Unless you've deliberately licensed your photo's in some way, you rights are fully intact for all your photo's on Flickr.

There is one form of licensing that you can engage in that gives you 51% of the sale. That might be a good idea if your photo takes off and is in demand. I am considering doing that to some of my photos. One of the types of licenses.
The way that handpicked part reads is a bit vague and I can't find anywhere that clears it up. It talks like it is not a Creative Commons license, and seems to be clear that the owners have not offered them for commercial use. So, it reads like they sell some without the right and then offer the compensation. Doesn't make sense.
