Camera case - suggestions needed

With camera cases I've found the no amount of reading can tell you whether or not they'll be comfortable on your back/shoulder. My best advice is to visit a store, if possible, that has the cases you're interested in and try them on. You would be surprised how different each one feels.

Totally agree with this, but also put gear in it and see how it feels with the weight. Just like any pack you buy it changes drastically on your body from empty to full.

That's what I did, and was so much better for it. While you won't get the weight feel, you can tell if it's going to be something you'll like.

Thanks for the information shared on this thread. I'm looking for a backpack style bag as well for my new camera. Does anyone have experience with the Think Tank bags? I don't have a store near Philly that carries them, other than one outside of Trenton NJ.

Funny thing after thinking more about it and the new lens showed up I went looking at a new backpack style bag today. I was looking at the lowepro sport 200 but it didn't fit what I was needing so I was directed towards the flipside 400 again from Lowe pro. Wow it was everything I need for both big lenses as well as lots of room to grow. tripod carrier attachment and a pull out water proof cover. I was interested and asked the price and what colors it came in. ( I was looking at the black one) Told me that color and green. He then told me that they had a used one for a fraction of the new price. looked at it and it looked new. So tried it on put some gear in it and tried it on again. Now Own it. Good fit and holds everything I could possible be needing. Of course it doesn't hold a lap top but then how often am I out back packing that I need a lap top?
