Camera Bags

Just picked up an "As New" Lowepro Fastpack 200 on ebay for a bargain price. In fairness it was as new too! I think in a big city if wearing it the only thing that would put me off is the professional pickpocket being able to get in and swipe it away (although probably unlikely). Did see some bags where the main camera body access was against your back which is probably more secure.

On the bag itself very impressed, but I am only getting into the hobby so dont have a huge amount of kit to lug around.

Im really loving my Case Logic SLRC-205 SLR, it fits so comfortable and though it isn't the most spacious bag it has more then enough room for a few lenses and accessories.

By lots, I didn't mean lots of Lowepro 250's, I meant many other types from other manufacturers....just to clarify...

I went with the Flipside because the opening is against your back so no one can open it while you are wearing it. Also because you can swing it around to your front and it just hangs there and you can load and unload without have to put it down somewhere.
You do get some odd looks by non photographers and and questions by photographers on what kind of bag that is.

yeah thats one reason I like it as well. If I had one complaint it would be that when I have it flipped around to get into stuff the "door" is kind of in the way. Other than that it has been a nice bag. Would really like one that was water tight in the same build.

Just had the first real test of my Flipside,a day out in London and a trip up the Shard, bag works fantastic and really easy to carry and operate and even on the underground i felt that my gear was safe as i pulled it round in front to keep an eye on it.

Lools like a solid bag in true Lowepro fashion.

For me having to remove it to acccess is still a drawback. Looks like there is a way to avoid that, but it means using the waist band...

I thought the waist band might be awkward but after adjusting a couple of times to get it to where it fit/worked correctly it is great. Worth it to be able to access it without having to put it down is worth it. Also it make it a little more secure since no one can just grad it off your back and jerk your arms back. this attaches it to your waist as well.

If you have a AW bag (all weather) it has a rain cover. Not just handy for rain but also to cover the bag when walking in crowds.

I've got two camera bags right now. One for quick trips and another to hold everything. The smaller one is a Clik bag. Love this bag. Big enough to hold the 5100 with a 55-300 lens on it with several smaller items.

My larger bag is a simple $35 camera backpack from Amazon. Love this thing. Large and roomy. Comfy to wear and inexpensive without being cheap.

I pick up my lowepro dryzone 200 on Tuesday. Will give it a real test out in Africa with the dust and rain.

Just added my SB-700 pouch to my current bag and realised I'm really pushing for space now.
I' m after another prime and suddenly realise now I won't have space for it in the bag :(

Hmm, will have to factor in a larger bag in this year's camera budget :)

I have the Lowepro Pro Runner 200 AW..
Though the bag is quite spacious and looks safe, 2 things i really dislike about this-
It scratches the screen of your DSLR everytime you take out & replace the camera..
I think it touches the zip or something & ruins the screen. I have the plastic protectors on both my cameras & they are quite unrecognizable.

Secondly. the bag is small.
Though a lot of stuff fits inside, if you wear it on your backside, you feel like a camel - with a hump on your back.
Very disconcerting & uncomfortable.
So wouldn't recommend this bad to anyone except maybe a 15 yr old
