Hello, I've had my camera (D3200) since the end of November. I got some gift cards for Christmas for camera equipment. Looking for suggestions on accessories to get being new to this type of camera. Thank you.

And air blower, extra memory card, Flash, another lens, lens cloth. Not sure what you currently have or how much you have to spend. Also consider what you want to achieve with photography and go from there.

Sorry guess I should have added all that. I bought the bundle so it came with the 200 lens. I got a tripod at Christmas as well. I know for sure I will be getting the cleaning kit. I was looking at the remotes however have no idea what to look for. Whatever the cost difference with the gift cards I can always pay the remaining. Krys, I'm not exactly sure at this moment what I would like to achieve , right now I just like getting out there an taking pics whenever I can. Is that a bad thing?

There are a couple of options for wireless remotes. Personally I like this one Vello Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote RCW-N2 B&H Photo Video since you can use it either wired or wireless and you can buy additional cables for it so it will work with other bodies if you need that in the future. Also has interval and self timer functions. "Vello's Wireless ShutterBoss Timer Remote (Nikon DC-2 Connection) doesn't just trip your shutter wirelessly. It's also equipped to handle a long list of timer functions: self-timer, interval timer, long exposure timer, as well as controlling the number of continuous shutter releases. It works with a vast array of different cameras--just swap out the camera release cable for the correct camera. The transmitter works at distances up to 250' (80 m) on any one of 99 channels over a reliable 2.4GHz frequency."

A nice strap, and a nice bag.
This is the bag i got at Christmas. I wanted a sling bag but the wife wanted a backpack one. The tripod is just a small one for the video camera. I have a bigger one that i keep in the truck.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive flash instead of spending a fortune?

Can you please define the value of "inexpensive"? Basically, how much are you willing to pay for an external flash?

It is best to provide as much as information when asking for recommendations so that we can narrow what works best based on your budget.

This is an inexpensive flash but is it something that you would like?
