I was wondering if any of you are using an external monitor with your laptop and have figured out a way to calibrate both the external monitor and the laptop screen? I'm trying to figure out which monitor calibration tool to purchase in order to calibrate both screens. Preferably the most budget friendly option that will work the best haha

Calibrated external monitor on Macbook Pro

There is the color sync utility that comes with OS X. It is in the "utilities" folder in applications. I haven't used it with an external monitor yet, but it should do what you want.
I was looking more specifically for a monitor calibrating tool but it's ok I ended up buying an x-rite color calibrator and got it working.
