Business Question - long

Hi. I am new here to posting. Been learning a lot from this forum. I’ll try to keep this short.
Equipment: Nikon D 7100 with SB 700 flash.
I was hired to shoot a preschool fall shots back in September. I handed out cards, got nothing in return but was able to profit the school $1400 in sales. It was a fundraiser. In December, I was contacted by a mom whose son I did pictures of. She wanted family pictures done when her step kids were in town which was for a week of the C-mas holiday.
She specifically wanted outdoor pictures, very natural, candid shots. Weather conditions on the day were not ideal. Clouds, but DARK clouds. Had some lighting issues, but she also said that they prefer black and white. I actually told her that they may come out better in black and white. I provided her with both color and black and white. They paid a sitting fee of $100 on the spot. Since it was close to C-mas I told her that I would go ahead and give her a cd of the finished shoot.
While I don’t have a release and can’t post the pictures I took, both the black and white and color pics turned out very well.
Here is the problem. I sent her a protected gallery of all photos (cannot download from the sent gallery) to her hours after the shoot and after processing them. 24, and then 48 hours, I heard nothing. I emailed her and said, “just want to make sure you got the gallery!” Nothing. I texted her (which we had text before) saying, “I’m a little worried you didn’t get the gallery?”
Keep in mind, they paid $100 on the spot. I didn’t want to bother her, but after 2 weeks of hearing nothing, I became very worried that something terrible may have happened. So I called her, and she didn’t pick up. But she then called me right back.
I told her after her shoot that if she was not happy with the results, let me know before her step kids fly back home. I can redo the shoot. When she called me back she said, “my step kids were not happy with how their hair was blowing in the wind.”
She wanted an outdoor shoot in Winter. I did go back and review the pictures, but the hair blowing in the wind was never across their face (because I would not have sent those in the first place). But my main thing is, if she wasn’t happy with them, don’t avoid me! Tell me and lets figure out how to correct the issue! I would have been more than happy to take them to a different outdoor location. Yes, it was windy that day, but I positioned them the best way I could and upon review, I personally did not see an issue with hair blowing. She did, and that’s fine. But I just wish she would have told me that so I could correct it and do another shoot before her step kids left town.
Nice for keeping this short!!!! I’m sorry. I’m just confused by what happened. She has many shots that I offered her on CD and she has not contacted me in over a month when she paid $100??? Anyone else have this happen?

My opinion ....

I've been looking into pricing in great depth these past few months and have learned that if you do not value yourself and your work you can hardly expect clients to value you.

You have spent hours on these photos for $100.00 - so work out your hourly rate.
Based on that what are you telling the client?
That you are cheap?

Had you charged her $2,000 you would have had a totally different experience:

You would have found out that she is probably not your ideal client or
she would have treated you with more respect and you would not have had to chase her.

Learn from it and move on.

Thank you so much, and that's a very good opinion I did not think about. Had I priced it higher, they may have taken more value in it. Since the kids ranged in 2.5 years to teenagers, I knew I had to work quick. They didn't want posed pictures, but they also wanted a family shot to send out to friends and family. So I did a mix of both posed and candid. Maybe $100 is a drop in the bucket to some, just weird that she didn't want the pics.
