Bug with Nikon WirelessMobileUtility mobile app

Ei Hello, has this ever happened to anyone before? The Nikon WirelessMobileUtility does work fine at this LG K10 android, but sometimes it doesn't.

The red square area illustrates when the app is working normal, everything is ok.

But sometimes it doesn't show the live preview and all I can see is a black space and no preview of photography; still that way is possible to click on the shot bottom and take a picture but without preview all photos loose the focus.

I solve the problem by uninstalling and re-installing the app. Except when I am out in the field.
Has this ever happened to anyone?
Any tips on what may cause a bug like this?

I am using a Nikon D5300, 18-55mm lens.

I haven't seen the problem that you're encountering, but I've only used the app on iOS and not android.

Since you're loading the latest version of the app from the Google Play store, have you checked for firmware updates available for your D5300 body?
