I have one of the first AF versions of the Nikkor 80-200mm 2.8's (the push pull one) and have been trying it out in different situations. This one was at f/4, 160mm, and 1/1000

Realized my lens was a bit too short for the shot I wanted, but I'll keep practicing!

I've been practicing a bit to catch birds in flight and there were a lot of gulls out yesterday by the Chicago river. Didn't have the best lens, but this one turned out pretty good (by my standards, ha!)

A gull was relaxing near the river yesterday and I was with a D200 and 80-200 f/2.8 lens (the old, old push-pull one), so I did more or less a portrait style pic of him
