I hope someone here can help me with finding a solution or easing my mind on this at least. I started shooting about a year or two ago and was gifted a DSLR(D610) to practice with. I began shooting real estate listings in the process because my mentor did this for a living. I recently upgraded to a Z7ii and have had some issues with being able to see what I’m taking photos of when using bracketing.
When shooting bracketed shots on the D610 for the listings I was doing, I would set the camera to Aperture priority, turn on the bracketing settings and pretty much be ready to go. The D610 would also show me, for lack of better terms, a live view of what I’m taking a photo of. Whether I wanted to look through the viewfinder or just on the back screen, it was live and I was able to “see” what I’m shooting.
I emphasized “see” because when starting with my first bracketed image, the Z7ii shows the underexposed shot I’m taking as underexposed on the display screen or viewfinder. This can be inconvenient when I’m shooting in low lighting and I have to turn off the bracketing to see a normal image so that I can line everything up.
I’m wanting to see if anyone knows if this is a mirrorless camera thing? If there’s a setting that would essentially make the display(before taking a photo) present as I see it or as the normally exposed image would look? Any tips?
