Bored Shots. "Birthday Balloon"

The lady got me this little balloon for my birthday, so I took some shots of it to cure a little boredom. I was going to make these into a diptych but I can't figure it out how to do it in LR. I enjoy the "bokeh" effect of the light in the first one but since I wasn't being serious about these shots I thought I'd put them in here for some critique. That way I don't have much emotional tie to them and you guys can give it to me straight without hurting my feelings. ;)

After looking at my exif I realized I probably could've bumped up the ISO and shot a faster shutter. Ah well, it's a working learning experience.

The colors are very bland, need to make them "pop" :). Perhaps a darker background.
