I don't know if this little guy was hunting for fish or keeping him/herself company, but I loved this shot. I haven't been able to id the type of bird yet. This was also at Wakodahatchee.

Took me a minute to see that his head was down and not just missing.I don't know if this little guy was hunting for fish or keeping him/herself company, but I loved this shot. I haven't been able to id the type of bird yet. This was also at Wakodahatchee.

I love reflection shots. Very nice.I was going through some more Wakodahatchee pictures and I took a second look at this one. The first time I went through these I hadn't noticed the reflection at all. I thought it was really cool.
Went outside to take some pictures of the standing water during the heavy rains. This is what the D600 looked like afterwards. It really is weatherproof. Dried it off with a towel and its good to go. (pardon the crappy cellphone pic)

I stopped by the Wakodahatchee Wetlands this morning. It rained all day yesterday, so I figured everything would be out and about today. I was right, it was a target rich environment.
I barely got into the park when this Green Heron landed right next to me on the handrail.
Next up was an Anhinga perched right above the waterline. I loved how the ripples on the water came out, it almost looks like a Photoshop effect.
These are the same Great Blue Heron Chicks I posted earlier. My how they have grown!

These were the cutest things I saw today. Black Necked Stilt.
A Trifecta of Tri Colored Herons. They were all posed exactly the same, but right when I took the shot the one on the far end had to itch.
