I'm home unfortunately to the cold and rain :sorrow:. Gone from 32c (90f) on holiday to 12c (53f) :hopelessness:,

The old (?) sailing ship Götheborg, when it came back from China. The original one sank when it came back to Göteborg in Sweden 1745. In 1995 some guys decided to build a replica, that could do it to China and back. When this replica entered the harbor in Göteborg in May 2007, after being away for two years and sailing 40.000 nautical miles, there were some 200.000 people along the river sides and some 10.000 boats greeting her.
When in harbor there were speeches by the Swedish King Karl XVI Gustaf and the Chinese President Hu Jintao
Truly a historical moment!
Now the ship is on a new journey, It will shortly leave Sweden for Portugal, where it will spend the winter and then continue to Shanghai and Kanton.
It's the only 18th century sailing ship i the world with certificate for the Blue Waters (allowed to sail by it's own across the oceans)
Imagine meeting this ship in the middle of the ocean under full sail!

As a former boat owner, I would caution you to be careful about what you wish for. There are times when the experience is akin to standing in an ice cold shower, fully clothed while tearing up large denomination paper currency.I neither own a hat or a boat
