I have not noticed that depot for decades now. All of the railroad tracks through Sauk City and Prairie du Sac have done the "rails to trails" conversion and are actually paved in asphalt now. The old rail bridge across the river is removed, but a decent eagle watching location now.
I guess according to this Facebook group, the building is incorporated into a larger retail space now and looks different.

And on a tangent, the old depot in my hometown of Sun Prairie is gone. Mini warehouses now on the site next to the grain towers I posted.

Wow, lots going on there at Sauk City. I sent you a Kodachrome scan from April 1987 of the Sun Prairie depot. I found the Mazomanie depot in October 1990 prior to its restoration. Built in 1857 and modified numerous times over its life, it's the oldest in the state.

7-14: Mount Horeb, WI - downtown on/near the Trollway. Using a vintage 50mm f/2 AIS lens and "vintage film" Picture Profile as well as a B/W.
The Trollway just isn't what it used to be in years past. I drove through and I believe I could only see about 5 trolls lurking.

On 8-3-2026 I tried a Milky Way landscape photo. Problem was, I had forgotten about a quirk in the Z camera bodies when shooting a time-lapse with the built-in feature. Nikon will not allow you to have manual control of shutter speed. You must select P or A mode to do the time-lapse. This was not an issue so much with my Z5 as I own an intervalometer that uses the camera remote shutter release port. Z5 has that port, Zf does not...
After scratching my head a few minutes I tested in A mode and found a way to get 8-second shutter, where my tests had me wanting 13 second. I ran the time-lapse and hoped for fixing in post. First attempts for the weekly challenge was not that great. Now I ran through a series of options in Sequator to get the exposure-stack better.

It had been 3 years or so since I last tried this, so forgetting things obviously did happen.Weather and the moon-phase tonight will allow me a new chance for a do-over later in the night with less twilight glow working against me. This time I have tested with NX-Tether and I will regain manual control of shutter being tethered to my PC. Wish the Zf had better compatibility with DigiCamControl like the Z5 did, maybe that will happen in the future. Astronomy tool in that software is better. Have hazy sky in all directions except straight up. More wildfire smoke? I'll check that.
