Yes, that is the Verrazano bridge. Picture was taken from the South Beach Boardwalk. Near South Fin grill I believe.

Oh..OK, I'm from Queens, Forest Hills...I used to go to the Brooklyn Promenade to photograph the skyline way back in the day.

Ever since 9/11, waterfront access is pretty slim in Portland. Most places are gated, or posted. So that leaves only where you dare to go. I can say Deering Oaks Pond, Stroudwater River Dam, downtown and the Old Port for street photos and architecture, for other places I have been. I don't know what subject matter you prefer, so can't say for sure where to send you. John. PM for best response, I do not come here everyday.
