John, I live a very short distance from where this was taken. I just hate those darn oil tanks though!:cocksure: Hey can you recommend some nice photo locations besides the obvious ones in the area? I'm kinda new here (Transplanted NYC'er)

Oh..OK, I'm from Queens, Forest Hills...I used to go to the Brooklyn Promenade to photograph the skyline way back in the day.

Ever since 9/11, waterfront access is pretty slim in Portland. Most places are gated, or posted. So that leaves only where you dare to go. I can say Deering Oaks Pond, Stroudwater River Dam, downtown and the Old Port for street photos and architecture, for other places I have been. I don't know what subject matter you prefer, so can't say for sure where to send you. John. PM for best response, I do not come here everyday. :)
