well i would ha but is there a max file size in this area as its not letting me add jpegs?

There's a max file size overall, so when you save it to jpeg, you might choose a bit more compression? Also, IMO... posting in a feedback area with "be gentle" is kind of a catch 22 isn't it? Feedback is feedback.

Resize the images you want to post here to 1000 pixels (or less) on the long edge; that should do it.
As for feedback the resident BBG (Big, Bald Guy) pretty much said it all: Feedback is feedback. We're pretty good at being constructive around here but for your part, you have to keep in mind we're constructively critiquing your PHOTO, not you. Learning to BE critiqued is just as important as knowing how TO critique someone's work.

On the first, maybe crop in a little to bring out the lizard more.
On the second, it took me a few seconds to figure out what is was, the sun is way to bright on the white boats. For me the B&W does not work well with this shot.

thanks for your reply, I did think that about the first one but was unsure, and on reflection I think your right one the second also it's a bit over exposed I didn't spend too long on it tbh in nx2.
