So 1 service ticket on Rumors and the same one copied to another site is an announcement from Nikon? Not! You may be able to shout and scream your way into one, like I stated REAL SQUEAKY. As far as I know they just cleaned my sensor and sent it back. Thats this week, it'll be here Fri. then Ill know for sure if they even replaced the shutter or just cleaned. Their support communication sucks.

Good choice! But beware, once you go FX you can't ever go back. I didn't fully appreciate this aspect and kept my D7000 around as a second to hold my telephoto lens. I tried to use it but every time I did it felt so small and the range so confined that I quit using it altogether and finally sold it. Something about seeing that huge swath of space in the viewfinder makes it hard, at least for me, to go back to the smaller view.

You are going to love it! I had my D90 which was and still is a great camera but the upgrade to the 610 was amazing. We'll be waiting for some pictures from it.

The 300s will stay for a bit. I might trade it up for another 610 before the end of the year.
