Be an organ donor

It takes less than 5 minutes to register as an organ donor. Your gift can save the lives of as many as 50 people!

That's FIVE-ZERO!

I have been a registered organ donor since 1999. Please follow the link below and give the gift of life. Thank you.

Here in CA we can have the donor listed on our drivers license so that it will be easy to tell whether or not you're in the program. I am also in the bone marrow donor list and have been for over 15 yrs. About 6 yrs ago I was contacted about a possible donation and would contact me if I was chosen but was cut about a month later. It used to cost $100+ to be registered as a bone marrow donor but I'm told now it's free, just requires a little blood.

I'm not worried about them wanting to use my face for a transplant. As for making sure you're already dead, I think they bore you to death with hospital forms before they take anything, just as a precaution.

Seriously.... sign up today.

I'm a whole body donor.
I've filled out all the paperwork, made the copies and gave them to the witnesses, and received the letter of thanks from the school of medicine. I've donated my body to science, to the School of Medicine, which is part of East Carolina University. I'll help med students become doctors too. It will also save my wife from the very expensive funeral costs. When the school is finished with me, they will pay for burial of what's left, or for cremation, whichever you want. I choose cremation.

While I have not signed up as an Organ Donor, no real reason... just haven't, I am registered as a Bone Marrow Donor and do weekly Blood Platelet donations.
Actually it has gotten to the point that I've joked about my arms looking like I am a herroin addict, with the needle marks, but they told me I could donate every 4 days and it only takes an hour.

Granted it is a bit more of a necessity as I sit up the road from the Role III Med Facility here in southern Afghanistan. Interesting side note... they have 'Donor Dogs' that also donate platelets and blood for injured Military Working dogs. I may have to ask if I can get a picture of this.

I'm a registered organ donor but I plan on using mine up!

I am very proud to be a citizen of Earth tonight. We have the Olympics in London and in about 15 minutes or so we are going to land on Mars!

:) :) :)
