To all,
I bought D7000 last Sept and trying the following lenses 35mm1.8G, 50mm1.8D, 85mm1.8D,55-300mm 4.5-5.6, I found that the camera was backfocusing. Searching how to solve this problem I came across with the following site My Photography
I did not hesitate and did the process required as carefully as possible. Now I have AF tuning off on the menu and all my lenses are working in an excellent way.
That is insane! Potentially you could make things worst. I have autofocus issues with my D7000 and several lens which I've tested, including Sigma's 18-35mm f/1.8 with USB dock. Pictures are just soft at infinity... Lens were returned and body was sent in for autofocus service - everytime of which the service center claims it is within spec of -18(Nikon tolerant up to -20 before they say it is an issue).
I've just replaced the 18-105 kit lens with Sigma's 17-50mm f/2.8 - we'll see how it goes....
