I've never shot a silhouette photo so I figured today was as good a day as any to practice.
what can I do to make this a better picture?
should the subjects be darker?? what about what is on the other side of the window?

thanks in advance.

I like it the way it is. I think that not having details in the shadow adds to the mystery. The color on the other side is OK for my personal taste.

Good shot.

thank you!!!
i took another one as well and played with contrast and exposure and my son was completely blacked out. however by doing so the snow was blown. I'll post an example here in a second. my question was, is the object supposed to be completely blacked out?? or just darker as in the original picture.

Love the first (dog) photo. Don't like the second. I don't know how to explain it but he looks more like a cutout laid over the picture.
