Reports of issues with sigma lenses start to appear ... mainly OS not working. I wonder to what extend this goes. Is it affecting the global vision line and 150-600 ?

Welcome to the forum, nice to make your first post a negative :D some links would be nice to back it up.

- The system just informed me that my post is pending and it will be automatically posted once i am registered ( i thought i registered ), my registration seems ok and the post is lost in twilight zone. I am rewriting :

Sorry for that
I am a Nikon user for decades, i have a D7200 arriving next week and i was intending to use it with the Sigma 150-600 also in preorder. Trying to catch my aviation and motorsports season before May 1st. The other thing is all my lenses are sigma (short story, i got my system stolen last September and i am trying to build up a decent one, but the funds ofcourse are quite ... different than years of building a system) So i am a little wired as to what is going on with D7200 and sigmas

i hope its a case of firmware fix. Easily with the USB dock in the case of Global Vision series lenses, sending the lens to Sigma in the case of older lenses. The D750 has been reported to also have some issues with some sigma lenses as well but i think if i am not mistaken Sigma has not yet released a firmware fix for either series. Sigma i think is not that responsive in that field. I wish Nikon and Sigma had the relation Nikon has with Tamron

That's pretty much the main reason why I don't go third-party with lenses. I know the quality of a lot of them is great, but I'd rather not risk having to deal with issues like that.

Charging now. Didn't have much time last night due to other plans so I'm doing it now.

Also, just finished an unboxing/first impressions video. Nothing special but it might amuse some of you until I can start working on a full review.

Expecting full noise, resolution, focusing accuracy and shutter lag charts along with MTF charts with the full set of Nikon, Tamron, Sigma and Tokina lenses available. Let's have it by tomorrow at this time. And, of course, we will want to see a direct comparison with D7100 specs.

Go ahead, get going...

:)

Congrats on the new camera. I hope you have a lot of fun with it!

Lol I won't go that far in-depth but I'll do my best.

And thanks, once the weather here gets warmer and I have some time I'll definitely be taking it out for a spin.

Sadly putting reviews on YouTube isn't my full-time job or even a job. Patience. :p

I did actually. I posted an unboxing video. A full review takes more time if it's going to be done right. Plus I'm a busy person.

I can say that there are no problems with the D7200 and the following lens: Tokina 11-16, Tamron 24-70, Tamron 70-200, and Tamron 150-600. I used all of them to shoot hockey last Friday and Saturday. I was very impressed with the camera, although I did not push it to it's limits by any means.
