As Shiftwork Allows

Just exported a few images from my last outing to help tweak my dad's tail a bit in revenge for his gloating when he was at the 24 Hours of Daytona. I had some pictures sitting on my desktop from my first outing to Summit Point last year. Comparing them side to side, at least to me, pretty interesting how much difference there is in one year.

As the title alludes to, rotating shift work doesn't really give you many weekends that match up with many accessible events. So this will be for the random stuff I can make it to schedule permitting.

Great shots, and I can agree with shift work as I work week on week off which allows me to get some photos on my week off but not many when working a 12hr shift for 7 days.

We have an 8hr 6-week rotation. It's not too bad, but we are so short handed you end up working some off days and you don't always know when your working more than a few days in advance.

I am so glad I don't have to work shifts. Like many, I have had to work through the night into the next day and beyond but that is occasional. I think shifts would really mess with me.

Yeah the not knowing would be the worst part I think.

Why do you think I am up all hours of the night taking photos ;). Starting tomorrow I have a week of days so that should be good.

Random observation of the day. Harsh direct sunlight isn't the enemy the "pros" like to say it is. It's utterly brilliant depending on the circumstances.

Definitely going to print this one. The same driver line up should be at Petit Le Mans so I should be able to get it autographed. That should cover my mother for Christmas.

When getting images I've done printed, I've heard you should brighten the exposure by about 1/4 stop to take into account a computer screens backlighting. Anybody have any tweaks they do specifically for printing?
