Not sure what you have in the UK, but it kind of looks like it could be a gypsy moth nest (or some other tent caterpillar like creature).

A bit more playing with the D700,couldn't wait for daylight ISO 5000 the first one straight from the camera the second run through NIK Define on its default settings both in crop mode 18-55

Its on trial from my dealer for a couple of days,hope to do some testing today, the trouble is i only have a 1gb compact flash card so its 33 shots and back to the pc

It may not be a keeper yet,its well used complete with genuine battery pack and it turns out to have been traded in the day before by a mate of mine,i will never run to the glass to make the best of the super MP cameras and i cant explain it but i still actually like the 6.1mp of the D70 but don't like the noise when you up the iso, so hoping this will give me pictures especially macro that i like.
