Not got the best weather here today so dug out my old sigma 135-400 just to have a play on the sofa, then put it on the D70 a combination I loved at the time.
Anyway the sun kept popping out for a moment and the park is very close so I thought why not, well after returning I know why not,the auto focus is painfully slow after the motorized 120-400,i needed iso 800 to have any hope, the D7000 handles this a lot better and no stabilizing on the lens.

I can say with some confidence advances in technology are helping me,they may not make the picture but they make taking it a lot easier and more satisfying, wonder what the next 10 years will bring.

The seal breading ground i was at today is also an RAF bombing range, normally nothing is flying on a friday but this made a few passes, with only one plane shot under my belt which looked like an dust spot on the sensor i decided to give it a go.
