Even a mac you still gotta know how to set up for problem-free future, just like a pc. Besides 1 mouse button, my MAIN gripe with apple is instead of DELETING files I tell it to, especially on cards, it creates hidden files and keeps everything intact until you remove it via main recycling bin..... That aside, fact that they make their phones and laptops not easily accessible for h/w repairs and such.
Beauty of pcs is that most of the hardware is and can be custom-built with ease of access to just about anything.
And updates, for those who haven't learned their lesson yet - you disable those mothers and leave them alone unless you absolutely need them to run something.
All that aside, you always install OS to its own partition if not a small separate drive in case you need to reinstall it and not worry about your data.
