Anybody using Affinity Photo software ?

Just wondering if anyone here is using, or has tried Affinity Photo - https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/
I just read a positive review in a magazine, but the user reviews I have read online are a bit mixed.

I am still using Apple Aperture, am reluctant to change until I find something I know I will stick with. Aperture drops out regularly for me now, so its time to start looking.
I am getting a new broadband connection in a few weeks, hopefully a lot faster than what I have now. When that happens I will likely try the free trial of Affinity.

Edit- forgot to mention, looks like I would lose some of the NIK plugins, not all will work with Affinity Photo

The word on the street is, that Affinity is coming to Windows soon. I will try it, although I have not found a suitable replacement for LR/PS yet.
I've been looking real hard too.

I have Lightroom CC and Affinity, I cannot remember the last time I used Affinity to be honest.

Just as an update here, I ended up buying Affinity Photo, when I was half way through the free trial, they offered it at a pretty heavy discount so I bought it.

I am happy with what it can do, I just find I don't use it too much. I still download all my photos into Apple Aperture, and I can do most of what I want in there and with NIK, if anything needs extra work, I send it over into Affinity and work on it there.
So far I mainly use it for perspective and lens distortion corrections and watermarking, it can do so much more but I need the spare time to learn to use it all.

I think it is definitely worth more than I paid for it.

I honestly keep forgetting that I own the software as Lightroom does all I want it to.

Likewise. I bought it for quick edits on my work laptop where I don't have Lightroom loaded, but I still find myself waiting to get things pulled into Lightroom rather than spend much time in Affinity.

I have 1.4.3 but also using the beta 1.5 (beta 10) most of my plugins work especially the NIK seem very fast. I had to go to their forums to find out the right paths for the plugins so they do work. I did see they are working on actions but they will call it persona something like that. Not sure if you can use the actions from PS or you may have to re-record them if there is a difference. Also on a side note I do use On1 Photo and their new RAW is due on the 23rd. I like their browser and felt it was quicker than light room and not having to having to import images just navigate to them sold me on them; although I have Lightroom I tend to use Cs5 PS and now staring to change my work flow to affinity.

I still do all of my basic PP in Apple aperture, I only send a few photos over to affinity that I want to do extra work that isn't possible in Aperture. This might change as I get more experienced and comfortable with Affinity.
When I have spare time I watch some tutorials on Vimeo, there is plenty of good stuff on there.

I would like to have more time to play with it, as it can do so much more than what I am currently doing.
