I took this photo as part of an assignment for my photo class. We were to use exposure compensation to create an artistic effect.

This is my favorite photo (of mine) so far. Be honest! No sugar coating, but please don't be mean! lol
Thanks!

It took me a minute to figure out what I was looking at because its not the orientation you expect and I couldn't connect the visual dots. I actually found it amusing that I didn't recognize it once I realized what I was seeing.

i can't say what it is about it, but I like it.

I like the concept, but the result is a bit harsh. I would at least crop out whatever is on the edge in the upper left corner. Perhaps get rid of some of the fringing color and tone the white area down a bit. It is interesting.

I, too, had a hard time figuring out what I was looking at. Then I realized it was a dog on a sofa or something. Personally, I don't like the angle of the shot, but I like the concept. Artistically, I guess it's nice, but not what I would do to the same subject. Let me put it this way: it's horizontally challenged! ;)

Thank you for the feedback! I noticed that too...the frame of the window is there on the top left, i will definitely edit that out (I haven't gotten to the software editing stage of my learning, lol, except for some effects)...It is a bit harsh to have it that white, I just don't like the view out my window! haha. I have more of this same dog in the same spot, maybe I should post more to see if they're better!
