Another lens?

I was planning on buying the Tamron 28-75 2.8 for the D90. I had one for my Canon, and really like it.
Then I ran across the 17-50 2.8.
Does anyone know anything about this lens??
TIA

Making sure to do my research this time. Was hoping someone might have personal experience with this lens.
A whole new system has proved to be quite the learning experience, lol. Baby steps!!

I have both lenses. I use the 28-75 most of the time. It pretty much stays on my camera if I am not using the long lens for birds.
I use the 17-50 now and then when I need a wider lens. They are both good, but depends on what you need.

Thank you for responding. My thought was, with the crop factor, the 17-50 would end up being almost 28 on the wide end. Is that correct?

If the D90 is 1.5x crop factor it would be 25.5 equivalent on a full frame. I never consider the crop factor when I am looking at lenses since I don't own a full frame and haven't used film in decades. It never made sense to me to do that, but it may be useful information for you.

The crop factor is one reason I have the Tokina 12-24mm to go with my Nikon 18-200mm for my everyday lens setup. Trying to decide rather it would be worthwhile to trade my 12-24mm for a 11-16mm or a 10-20mm.

I have the Tamron 17-50 and for a while had the Nikkor 17-55 2.8 also. I sold the Nikkor to keep the Tamron and have absolutely no regrets. For a D90, I think the 17-50 is a better choice than the 28-75.
