Jan 13th - Day 13/365

I visited a new park to walk the dog this afternoon and this is a pano of the view toward the city. Unfortunately it loses some of the effect at 1000px (full pic is 15000px), but here it is anyway.

And a close to 100% crop showing the city skyline in the middle

Thanks Fastglass , I wish I had time to do it too. It's a lot of work, not sure how far I'll get. We'll see I guess.

Thanks Vixen, but I took some creative liberties with that photo. The fire is blue, there is no smoke. I just liked the look of it that way.

Jan 14th - Day 14/365

Didn't get a chance to get out and shoot today, just took my weekly shot to see how my little dog is growing. To make it a little more interesting, I photoshopped a pic from 4 weeks ago on top of today's pic. So this is Kaos 4 weeks ago and today.

Are his ears permanently in that position on top of his head? I just noticed another shot you took and they were up there. Looks like he has a hat on :D

Vixen, he keeps his ears crossed for good luck. They stick in all directions and do all kinds of crazy things at the moment. It will be another couple of months before they stick up properly and stay up. It's just a goofy floppy ear stage they go through.

Jan 15th - Day 15/365

Took a shot at birding today for the first time. It's a lot harder than I thought, probably in part because I wasn't doing it right. Went at the end of the day and the light was poor, and now I'm thinking it's probably more of any early morning exercise. Got a few shots, nothing on the pros around here but we'll chalk it up to experience and try again some other time.

And just an added extra for today, the sky turned on some great colors at the end of it. Here's a 3 shot pano of the sky from the park I was shooting birds in.

In hindsight it may have been smarter to change lenses to a 24mm rather than do a 3 shot pano with a 70-200. But it was all the way back in the car and it seemed like a lot of effort ;)

I shoot my birds at the end of the day Andrew. Well, when I sit in my backyard it's at the end of the day. Other times is just as it comes. It gets a bit dark and I have to have the ISO right up, which I don't like, but as you know early morning & late arvo is when the birds are most active :D
