LOL! Mine are black. But then, I have this whole bad boy image to maintain, so black is my only option.

Whatever you get, unless you want your kit to look like it was pieced together at a garage sale, I'd say get them all the same color. I know a few guys who have purchased the brighter colors when used for a backdrop light, just so that the light is more visible to anyone who may be sitting for a portrait, and lower the chances of someone accidentally kicking it over.

As an owner of an AB B800, B400, and White Lightning 10,000 "Coffee Can" flash, I can say I love my PC Buff Products. They are very good, reasonably priced, and have the best repair policy of any studio flash manufacturer, bar non. Case in point, I actually had my AB B800 given to me by a used camera shop owner who had knocked over and broken the casing on a pre owned B800 he had in his store. He disassembled it, tried to fix it, and couldnt get it back together. After a year in the back of the store, he gave it to me just to get it out of there. I sent it to Buff, and he replaced the casing with color of my choice (obviously I'm partial to White), refurbed everything else that was damaged, and threw in a new reflector, power cord, and modeling lamp for, get this, $50 shipped. All I had to pay for extra was a new flash tube. So I got a for all intents and purposes new AB B800 for $80. Try getting that kind of pricing and service from any other studio flash manufacturer.

Here is my trio, soon to have a 4th member added:
