Thanks Marilynne and Jeff. This nest is under my deck which is about 10 feet high. I need a ladder to see in. And it is not an easy shot as my camera just fits under the deck and above the nest. And DOF at that range is poor at best. As of this morning the fourth egg has not yet hatched so maybe when I get home tonight.

Here's a shot of Mom guarding the nest

Thanks a lot Marilynne, I appreciate that coming from you. I wish I had half the good shots you get. BTW the last Robin hatched sometime today, about to post a new shot.

Thanks for the kind words Alan. You should see the ones that are even to bad for the Almost thread.

Great shots of the babies!!!

This is my view of the Robin nest from the basement. If I am much closer than this she will not come to the nest or if she does she will not feed the babies until I leave. So I sit there when I have time and watch for her to return. She was on the nest for this shot.

It amazes me that she can drop one worm at a time to feed the babies. if you look close you can see the one on the far right just got his and she still has more.

This whole work thing has gotten in the way of photography again. Anyway I did stop at the neighbors to check on the finch and some of the eggs have hatched. Now i have another family to try to follow.
