We have had a lot of snow days for this early in the season. But it is forecast to be 50 by Saturday so most of it will be gone before Christmas.

Not a great day for taking pictures, very overcast, snow showers, hazy etc. The lake has begun to freeze over. Oh ya they don't plow or clean any of the paths.

The crows were putting up a fuss and being the only one around the lake I decided to head their way and do a little investigation. Spotted this Red Tail Hawk near the top of this tree. They just don't like these guys.

Nature Calls....That's right those are not tootsie rolls on the ice. I didn't notice it until I uploaded it here at home.

Added a new duck to my photo wall today. This Juvenile Male Hooded Merganser was the only one on the lake along with a flock of geese. Who knows why he stopped by.

Another shot of the Hooded Merganser to give an idea of size. I just checked my file and this is the 90th species of bird I captured this year.

Thats good going 90,never thought to count

Thanks Mike. It was easy to count as I have each species in a separate folder. I started last March with a goal of finding 100. I have three month left but the last ten could be a little harder. I am hoping we have a few more migrating birds stop over when I am around this winter. Even so the 90 is a good number for me.
