Thanks Don. I like the second one as well. The first was a fish he caught later and the third was just before he grabbed the fish in shot two. I kinda uploaded them out of order. As you see he was in a spot that was hard to get a clear view of him. One lady who walked by when I was shooting and was about 5 foot nothing could not even see him because of the vegetation.

Tonight I stopped on the way home to take a walk along the canal. My Dr wants me to walk more and of course I always carry my camera with me on these walks. I was not really ready for what happened next as it would be the last place I would go looking for this photo op. Along the canal from behind me flew a Red Tailed Hawk. I got off one poor shot and figured "Oh Well" another missed opportunity. I watched as he headed up into the trees but never saw him come out. I walked down the canal a little further and there he sat in a low branch of one of the trees. Well here is the poor shot and what I saw when I first spotted his perch. Look close you will see him on the bottom bare branch just left of center.

I will be posting a few more as soon as I decide which ones of the 135 I took I want to use.

I really like this one. The wing touching the water is wonderful.

All the ones following are nice.

Thanks a lot Don. I really like that one too. It was a quick Point and Shoot. I was just lucky I had the camera on when he flew by me. Had no intention of a moving bird shot at the time. I have never seen a hawk in this area before.
