Thanks Don. This is the closest I have ever been able to get to one in the wild. He looked over at me a couple of time but didn't seem to really see me or care about me. I burned off about 50 shots before he decided to head off. I wish that Kingfisher had not been out in the middle of the lake. But I take what nature gives me.

Based on the antenna I would say Butterfly (maybe). Most ( all but a few) moths have comb like antenna. So maybe it is a motherfly!

This guy was just across the creek from me. I was shooting from behindsome trees and brush which allowed me to be only about 20 feet from him.

Thanks Pat. I have driven by the for years and never stoped. I was driving by and had about 15 minutes to kill so decided to stop and take a couple shots. It's one of those things you just drive by and don't really see because it has always been there.

This web and it's owner ( in the bed of my pickup) were dew covered this morning. If you look real close you can see his extended leg in on the trip wire.

Actually it is my "Beater Truck" and has not left the driveway for over two weeks. He has been there for three days now but today was the first we had dew. He seems to rebuild it every night.
