Thanks Don. This is the closest I have ever been able to get to one in the wild. He looked over at me a couple of time but didn't seem to really see me or care about me. I burned off about 50 shots before he decided to head off. I wish that Kingfisher had not been out in the middle of the lake. But I take what nature gives me. :rolleyes:

Some Juvenile Wood Ducks. These might be some of the ones I have shots of when they were ducklings.

Thanks Pat. I have driven by the for years and never stoped. I was driving by and had about 15 minutes to kill so decided to stop and take a couple shots. It's one of those things you just drive by and don't really see because it has always been there.

I had heard some people had see Green Herons this summer but this is the first time I spotted it. Got to watch him do a little fishing.

This web and it's owner ( in the bed of my pickup) were dew covered this morning. If you look real close you can see his extended leg in on the trip wire.
