Im officialy a finalist in the 33rd annual Nikon College & Highschool Photography contest! Out of over 16,000 entries, I made it into the Top 104 in the high-school section. I've only been a photographer for 10 months so I still have a lot of growing to do but I'm just so ecstatic! I didnt think I was going to make it to be honest. Anyways, I felt like I should tell the Nikon community. :)

I prefocused on the sun, giving it a silhouette effect. This was done at 2 pm in bright sunlight but I love the darkness of it. It looks like a still from a movie. By the way, it didn't have the logo in the middle when I sent it in. But I heard about thieves :(

Danny, Congrats! Absolutely you should tell us, you should be shouting it from rooftops!! You have a lot to be proud of and your photos were excellent... Good Job!

They'll notify 1st thru 4th place on the 11th. But my mom found me 2 new contests. Ones an actual nikon contest as opposed to just being sponsored by them, and ones a spring photography contest sponsored by sigma. But thank you all for your good wishes and compliments, ill definitely keep you all updated :)

I'm no where near pro lol I mean, I've been doing photography for less than a year and I'm self taught.
