AF 50mm 1.4 sale price question

Hello all. I found a Nikkor AF 50mm 1.4 (non D) lens for what I think is a good price but can't find any pricing info on it. I have the SN and with that I know it was made between 86 and 91. But other then that I have found nothing. So here I am asking all of you (which I hope to talk with often as I learn and share more in time). So I feel that $75 is a good deal for a lens I should have in my bag. Any thoughts on this? I have a F5 (and a d5200 which the lens will not be used on) and if nothing else my niece just got a F3 from her great-grand father and might just get it for her. Thanks in advance.

Go to ebay, search for the lens, then select the box on the left that says "Completed Auctions". You can then view the auctions that have ended, and any that sold will have the prices shown in green. That will give you a good benchmark for the going price.

Thank you for the advice, hard to tell if the pricing I'm looking at is for the late or new moldel time, but gives an idea.
