Adorama D750 pre order.

Does this camera appear to possibly be replaced or upgraded within 12 months of it's release? This seems to have been almost been the case with the D600 and D610 although the D750 is not called a replacement to the D610.

All this release does is make me excited to see D610 prices drop (hopefully in coming months that is. I am not thrilled about keeping a 1/4000 max shutter and I don't like tilty screens so I don't see any reason to not get the D610 over this. Coming from DX of course! Hell I never use anything but the center focus point anyway so more points is no biggie for me.

As a recent buyer of a D610, I have to say I'm pretty relieved after seeing the specs on this camera. It would need a few extra features to make me remorseful of my 610 purchase. But at the price point they are talking, it appears to be a little over $700 more than what I paid, which to me is some decent lens money. If the two models were sitting side by side on the shelf and I had to choose all over again, I'd make the same decision and have more money for glass.

So who will buy one at their local camera store vs. online retailers?

The closet camera retailer to me is more then a hour away , I drove there once to buy an item they said they had in stock but once I got there I was told it had to be ordered. I don't have a relationship with them and as been stated the added sales tax would put the camera and lens out of reach for me at this time.

I always favored adorama and cameta over BH. I live on Long Island 10 minutes from both nikon and canon USA headquarters. It seems being so close cameta has more of a relationship with the mfd and always seems to have great stock on refurbs. But have to pay tax. All things being equal, Abe's of Maine being in nj is the best source for retail cuz I don't have to pay tax. But they do not carry refurbs or a lot of used gear.

I guess I'm in the minority, drove 45 minutes to one of our local stores today for a Nikon battery and another umbrella.

I'm curious to see when my local shop gets the 750 in stock. It'll be interesting, comparing the 610, 750, and 810 side by side.
