Access to ports with 3 Legged Thing L-bracket

A "what should I buy" post:

Does anyone have and can comment on this L-bracket:
"3 Legged Thing Zadie QD L-Bracket for Nikon Z6 III"

In particular:
  1. Does it feel secure both horizontally and vertically?
  2. How is access to the ports on the left of the camera?
  3. Do you know if there is room for the Nikon MC-DC2 remote to attach?

I know this is very specific. But if you have experience with another L-bracket that would be useful information too. I don't think I will spring for the RRS one.

It is best to stay away from the one-size-most type L-bracket and get one that locks in to your camera body with pins that stop twisting.

I used Leofoto with great success on a D750, then tried 2 kinds for my previous Z5, and the 2nd one rarely was removed for 3 years. Here is the closest match I see for the Z6III. What I really liked was the extension of the body allows your pinky finger to become involved in gripping the body. And the plate is a stable base to set the camera down on. Full access to the battery hatch, and the side plate can be extended out with a hex-key that stores magnetically in the base. Not only can you use a wired shutter release in portrait mode, the connector does not obstruct when it is extended.


I wish I could get as good of a product with a grip extender for a Zf.

I have a 3 LEGGED THING L BRACKET I use on my D7100. (model unknown) It is very secure in both positions.
My unit can slide the "bracket" in or out over the ports. The remote plug does fit. (MC-DC2). If I remember
correctly, a member was looking for a 90 connector to use with an L bracket; I don't know if they found one.
