This was for the weekly challenge, "out of place". I thought the first couple images were boring so I slowed the shutter speed down and moved the camera while exposing. I tried flash, both rear curtain and fill. The fill allowed me to freeze the dice and the movement is from the shift of the camera after the flash went off. I am not very familiar with flash, especially with longer exposures so it's something I'll be experimenting with more of.

I didn't see a general "Double Exposure" thread so am posting these here. It would be nice to see a Double Exposure section. Double exposures have gone from an old film "mistake" to an art form.

Let see yours!!!

You create a new thread Fred or I can do it for you. Let me know.

Lol - as the Nike ad states, Just Do It! I would have moved his post myself, but since you offered, go ahead. I too think it would be a great thread.

You guys are the best. I knew I COULD create a new thread, I just wasn't sure of what the protocol was for creating something that could turn into a thread with MANY uploaded images...or if there was a process for creating a new category.

In the late 1990's, I took a B&W 35mm film developing class (LOVED working in the darkroom). One of our assignments was to go out and shoot a roll of B&W film, but before rewinding it completely into the cassette, we were to run it through a 2nd time - this time photographing some type of textured image as the subject. All I remember was I took photos of an American flag, then the second time thru it was some type of textured linen cloth. I can't remember if we had to halve the ASA due to running it thru a second time, or if we had to tell the lab something specific for developing. But in the end, it was a memorable thing to do.

Well...that along with doing some type of double negative (processing a 35mm negative into a print then somehow reversing it so the photo looked more like a negative). For that pic, I took a kid riding a bike thru a covered bridge. The reversed image looked like a ghost riding through. Lol.
