A very hard time for my family

Well here is the latest news my friends. I decided not to wait for the lady to call me, and went and talked to her in person. I'm glad I did, because she doesn't seem to be in any hurry in any way. Personally I think they are trying to milk our insurance just as long as they can. We only have so long, and then our insurance stops paying. It looks to me right now that it will happen just that way too.

But anyway I was able to schedule a meeting for next wensday and maybe I'll be able to get their collective butts in gear before they run us out of time to get the arrangements set up for my beloved's home coming.

Thank you all so much my friend for your caring thoughts for my love and I! I appreciate it more than you could know. :D

Hey my friends!! I finally have some awesome news to share with you!! :D My baby will be coming home real soon! That's right, my beloved will be coming home on the first of October! Woohoo! :D

We will need home health care for a while, but at least my love will be with me here at home! After over 3 months of waiting and worrying, I'll finally be able to have my love here again with me! :D

I guess putting my foot down with that social worker a few days ago convinced her I'm not a man to be pushed, bullied or cajoled into helping the nursing home milk our insurance dry! Because she was very cooperative, helpful and without a single reason to keep my wife there longer, because home health care will do everything needed that she could point to and she new it all along!

Well anyway there were no arguments at all about my beloved coming home at the meeting today! So next week on the first I'll be bringing my beloved home! :D

I just had to share this awesome news with all of you who have been thinking of my beloved and I during the very hard time for us! Thank you soooooo much for all your thoughts and prayers my friends! :D

Good news Bill I imagine she will be a lot more comfortable at home and it will be easier on you. I hope everything works out and she can stay with you.

Bill,

On the one hand I'm deeply sorry for not following your thread from day one, but my sadness is somewhat alleviated now that your wife's condition has improved to the point you can bring her home. 3 to 3-1/2 months is a long time for her to be in hospital. But again, the news you're bringing her home is really great!

Several years ago my wife caught some kind of mysterious virus that at times caused her to lose her equilibrium. At first she wasn't aware of how it affected her. One day she stood up and then fell over breaking 2 of her fingers. She was plagued with sever fatigue, almost completely bedridden. It took about 5 years but she finally recovered and got her strength back. My daughter needed open heart surgery when she was 2 years old. She's a very active 27 years old now. My son was in intensive care for 3 weeks immediately following his birth. He's 25 now. These incidents were very trying and painful experiences. At no time did I lose my faith in God, but there were many times I asked "Why?". Now the "Why" doesn't seem so important - we have healed and fully recovered - physically, spiritually and financially.

It sounds like you've been through the worst of it. My prayer is your wife and family makes a speedy and full recovery.

Such wonderful news to hear. I'm glad you put your foot down and insisted she came home. Hopefully she will do even better surrounded by the people and things she loves dearly.

Thank you all very very much my friends! Yes I'm sure things will get better now, just because my love and I will be together. Thing may still be hard, but not nearly as hard when we are together as it is when we're apart! :D
