512GB SD card

I remember my first hard drive in a computer. It was 10MB and that was a full height drive. Now we have a 1/2 TB on something the size of a postage stamp and not a lot thicker.

And its about the same price as that full size 10MB drive was way back when. Thats impressive but sounds like a way to get in trouble by loosing a lot of data. Maybe for video usage though and I am sure there are other reasons for a large card.

My wonderment is more in that you can stuff half a terabyte into a SD card. Makes me think it is not going to be long till standard hard drives with moving parts go the way of VHS tapes.

I'll stick with my pee wee little 16GB cards.
