It is absolutely worth it...What do you think abt the re-touch?..Could have done more with the raw image, but you get the idea..

Looks awesome. How's the learning curve. I'm not great with the old version of PS that I have, but at least I can do a few things. I'll look into getting LR one of these days to play around with it.

Another vote for Lightroom. It is many times easier than PS, and designed for what photographers do. I find about 30 or fourth % of the value of a good DSLR comes in post processing. Not 40% of the time! but value. You want to capture the maximum amount of info possible: don't blow out the highlights, then automatically process in LR. It's take you some time to figure out what settings ( like increase color saturation, sharpen, ect) to automatically apply upon importing them, but when you do, they will look better than you could ever get with JPG and you can then just tweet a few after import to optimize. Then you can spit out jpgs of a couple sizes to post, or look at. I generate slide shows in LR for my wife and I to look at. Worth the trouble of learning. JD

+1 for LR5.

I was a little overwhelmed with Lightroom to begin with. Too many menus, functions and options for sorting and processing photos. I watched a few starter videos on Youtube about setting it up and using basic functions. Now that i feel more confident using it i feel that it really pushes my photography to the next level. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.
