Day 5
Another busy day at work, and I can't take my camera with me, so here is one of my 1st pictures taken with the camera.
I was seeing how close I could get to a dandelion.

Day 4 -- Another shot of Micah--taken today

Fortunately she is a willing model--actually she was quite taken with my 105mm lens and wanted to give it a good sniff! ;) And of course I let her since it was a small price to pay.

Here is my 5th photo for the 5th day of the 5 day Challenge...

Jake, thanks for starting it up here... good experience for me and many good shots to look at and think about!

Just wondering how close you actually got to the dandelion. Did you crop this image? Nice one. ;)

Yes I had to crop it a little, when I took the picture I had to shield the flower from the wind, and set the camera on the tripod. its hard to get a good picture when your on your hands and knees, I'm sure the neighbours think I'm mad ;)

I'm getting confused. I still need to post a B&W the next 4 days?

I'll have to nominate two so I'll continue the "active" trend; Marilynne and paul04.

I have no idea how to do the "mention" so I hope both notice.

To mention someone you just use the "@" before their username and they automatically get the mention notice.

Day 5 -- Stache

Stache is a 14-year old rescue cat that we adopted when he was a wee small kitten. :)

This is my fifth photo for the challenge. I'd appreciate not being nominated until it's a better time for me. Admittedly I stink with conversion as it isn't something I ever tried prior to this challenge, and I ran into problems trying to work with the tones. Hopefully members will post tutorials on how they do their own conversions as I'm sure there are different methods.

No, but you'd think so! I have no regrets buying this lens, Marcel, and am very appreciative seeing your results and hearing your thoughts about your own. Even though this lens doesn't have VR, I don't always have good luck using VR. With forearm tendonitis, my photos are better when I use a faster shutter speed without VR than when I use a slower shutter speed with VR. ;)
