Ironically, I rarely use my battery grips now since I use a L bracket. It is much more secure without the battery grip when using a L bracket.
Curious Glenn, which L bracket are you using?

With buying used, there is likely no way for me to know if it's a copy. But I will likely post in the wanted thread first in hopes there is someone here with a real one they are willing to part with, at a price I can afford. I'd be asking now, but I just don't have the money yet to pay for one! Lol
Thank you very much for the heads up!![]()
and you saved £170 from the nikon original. thats a nice used prime lens.
By gum but Amazon's efficient. The Pixel grip arrived this morning. It's a keeper. The connection is more solid and I already feel happier with it in comparison to the okay Mieke. The build is slightly better, the buttons more "mature" and it even has a USB port for "firmware updates" (I assume for the body, which seems utterly pointless but we shall see). I have so much redundant kit to shift ...
I use Meike grips for both my D600 and D7000 no issues with them what so ever.

Fake Nikon MB-D12 Review For D800 Pixel Vertax - YouTube
it is for the d800 but its relevant to any nikon camera imo.
I owned no name BG made in china and replaced it with the OEM grip.
The no name has plastic plate, joystick was really hard to use, the buttons feels more mushy too.
Though the fake grip has a +1 for material they use on the bottom of the grip, for whatever reason it's more grippy than the real one.
Pretty sure the real grip is weather sealed too and not the fake one
