My iMac has been delayed due to unforseen circumstances, but it should be delivered withing the next 48hrs (apparently). Good news is that I have been at work. Bad news is I am only home for one day and then have a two day course... But then I will have 5 days off to hopefully enjoy it.

Did you get the fusion drive? I'm amazed how fast it is. You'll notice the speed from startup right through to the laborious chores. What are the specs? Even if you didn't get Fusion, it's a spectacular bit of design. I have a new MacBook Air also and the speed of that is fantastic too.

I'm sure you'll love the Mac. Quiet and sleek.

As an aside, I vowed to keep my desk sleek like the Mac. Just as an ode to its clean lines. Sadly, the desk is a junk heap! Cheers, Brad :)

Yeah I decided to get max everything, will be interesting to see how it handles focus stacking lots of D800E NEF files.

We have had a 27" imac at home for over 12 months now.
​That big screen is great for viewing your images.

Ok I just installed Adobe PS CC and LR5 clicked on both to start and with a sec both were up and running, WOW I normally have to wait for them to load but not with this computer.
Now to try a 20 image focus stack and see if it takes less than an hr to convert lol

I'm thinking of getting a new iMac since I realize all my computers are seriously outdated and I don't have any decent monitors to view my pictures.

I have a 2009 white macbook which I love, but the screen just is nowhere as nice as on the new Macs
