Here are a few shots of my first attempt at studio shooting. I got a studio kit and gave it a shot. Let me know what you think.

Good first try :)

I would move the girls/the woman further away from the back drop to blur it out, I find the folds a little distracting.

Yup, good first try! I think you're on your way, bud! :) Just need a little work on the lighting angles and such. But hey....it takes time and tons of practice, so keep at it. Nice job. :)

I'm not around the lights now but it is the square perfect sp3500 kit. I need to set it up in a place with a little more room. I was just excited to give it a try.

Not sure what you're set up is but there seems to be some funky lighting issues in second and third shots. Differant color lights. Or stray ambient showing up. Whats you're camera settings. With something like this the shutter should be at you're sinc speed. 200th-250th.

A little too much depth of field - those backdrops need to be felt and not seen. Lights are a little hot in some and need better aiming in others, but it's a first step, and you didn't do so bad. Would love to see exactly what you're using as well.

i like the last shot you posted, nice job! That looks like a very nice starter kit for a very inviting price. I will be curious to see an update once you get to play with it a bit and use it more.

I will echo what some of the others said about moving the background further back, adjusting the lights a tad, and nailing the exposure. The kit looks interesting and appears to come with just about everything. I am surprised to see it contains a background because I don't see a background stand. What did you use to hold up the background? Nice job for your first attempt! :)
